I am interested in the way the figure is contained within the confined space of the canvas. The lines on the clothing accentuate the movement of the figure within the constrained space and give the work a graphic quality that contrasts with the realism of the skin tones.  You can read more about the motivation behind the series and the feminist themes on the artist blog.
