Made with Love

This series is inspired by my sons as I watch them grow. I'm trying to capture them before they move from childhood to adolescence. The majority of the patterned backgrounds are created using homemade rubber stamps, which are printed onto timber panels. I enjoy the immediacy of handmade stamps. The imperfections in the backgrounds convey a sense of carefree informality that I associate with childhood art-making. As you would expect, this series is an ongoing work in progress.
