This painting is inspired by the story of Paris and the Golden Apple in Greek mythology.In Greek mythology, a young man called Paris is asked to bestow the golden apple, engraved with words “for the most beautiful,” on the worthiest goddess. He choose Aphrodite who promises him Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world, in return for the golden apple.
